Configure the structural layout and informational display for your blog listing pages, including the main blog page, categories, tags, and author archives. You can find these settings in Appearance > Customize > Blog > Blog Archive.
Page Layout & Featured Post #
- Page Layout: Choose the default sidebar layout for all blog archive pages.
- No Sidebar: Full-width content for a modern, immersive look.
- Left Sidebar: Places the sidebar widget area to the left of the blog posts.
- Right Sidebar: Places the sidebar widget area to the right of the blog posts (a common default).
- Sticky Featured Post:
- Enable/Disable: This master switch allows you to globally enable or disable the prominent “featured post” area at the top of your blog archive.
- How to Feature a Post: To make a specific post sticky, edit that post and check the “Stick to the top of the blog” option in the Visibility section within the WordPress editor. If no post is set as sticky, the most recent post will be displayed in the featured area.
Blog Post Card Design #
These settings control the appearance of each postcard within the archive grid or list.
- Thumbnail Height: Control how post images are displayed.
- Auto: Height is automatically set based on the image’s aspect ratio.
- Set Height: Allows you to define a fixed height (in pixels) for all post thumbnails, creating a uniform grid. (e.g.,
250px).
- Image Fit: If using a fixed height, this controls how the image fills the space.
- Cover: The image will fill the entire container and be cropped to fit, ensuring no space.
- Blog Card Padding: Adjust the internal spacing (padding) inside each postcard. You can set different values for the Top, Right, Bottom, and Left to control the space between the card’s content and its border. This is key to controlling the overall spaciousness of your design.
Blog Meta Information #
Choose which post metadata to display beneath the post title on archive cards. This helps users quickly scan for relevant information.
- Show Date: Enable to display the publication date.
- Show Author: Enable to display the post author’s name.
- Show Comments: Enable to display the number of comments.
- Show Categories: Enable to display the categories the post is assigned to.
- Show Featured Post Indicator: Enable to display a special badge or icon on posts that are set as “Sticky” or “Featured”.
Important: After configuring these settings, click the “Save Changes” button in the Customizer to apply them. Use “Reset Section” to revert all blog settings to their defaults, or “Reset All” to reset the entire customizer.
Single Blog Post Layout Settings #
Configure the structure and components of your individual blog post pages. These settings allow you to tailor the reading experience and engagement options for your audience. You can find these settings in

Post Components #
Toggle the visibility of key sections below the main content of your blog posts to encourage further interaction and discovery.
- Post Navigator: Enable or disable the “Previous Post / Next Post” navigation links, which allow readers to browse through your content chronologically.
- Author Box: Enable or disable the author bio box. This section typically displays the author’s name, avatar, biography, and social links, helping to build credibility and connection.
- Related Post: Enable or disable the “Related Posts” section. This automatically displays a selection of posts from the same categories or tags, encouraging visitors to explore more of your content and reducing bounce rate.
- Post Comments: Enable or disable the comment section at the bottom of the post. This allows you to control where community discussion can happen on your site.
