This guide walks you through designing your homepage and assigning it properly in WordPress using the Digishift theme.
With Digishift, you can fully customize your homepage using Elementor or the built-in page templates, giving you complete flexibility over the design. Once your homepage is created, you’ll also need to assign it as the static front page in WordPress so that it displays as the main landing page for your site.
Design Your Homepage #
Start by creating a new page (see Create a New Page guide).
Design your homepage using your preferred editor (e.g., Elementor), and make sure to:
- Add a compelling layout, visuals, and necessary sections like Slider Section, Testimonials Section, etc.
- Choose an appropriate Page Template (e.g., Elementor Full Width for a clean visual builder layout).
- Configure Header Type, Search bar behavior, Sidebar, and other page-specific settings to suit your homepage design.
Set as Homepage #

After designing and saving your page, assign it as the site’s homepage:
- In the WordPress admin menu, go to Settings → Reading.
- Under Your homepage displays, select A static page.
- For the Homepage dropdown, choose the page you just created.
- (Optional) In the Posts page dropdown, choose a page to display your blog posts.
- Click Save Changes to apply.
