Portfolio: Showcasing Your Work #

The Digishift Portfolio allows you to create a professional and filterable gallery of your projects, work, case studies, or any other items you wish to showcase.

Accessing the Portfolio Manager #

  1. Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. In the sidebar, find and click on the Digishift Studio menu. This is the hub for all theme-specific features.
  3. Click on Portfolio. This will take you to the main list of all your portfolio items.

Adding a New Portfolio Item #

  1. From the Portfolio screen, click the Add New button at the top.
  2. Add a Title: Enter the name of your project (e.g., “Branding for ABC Company”).
  3. Add Content: Use the WordPress editor (Gutenberg or your preferred page builder like Elementor) to build the detailed content of your portfolio item. Describe the project, your process, and include images, galleries, or videos.
  4. Set a Featured Image: This is typically the main image that will represent this item in portfolio grid layouts. Find the “Featured Image” meta-box on the right side and upload your image.

Organizing with Categories and Tags #

To keep your portfolio organized and enable filtering, use Categories and Tags.

  • Portfolio Categories: Used for broad grouping (e.g., “Web Design,” “Branding,” “Photography”). You can assign a category to a project using the “Portfolio Categories” meta-box on the right. To create new categories, click Portfolio > Categories from the Digishift Studio menu.
  • Portfolio Tags: Used for more specific keywords (e.g., “WordPress,” “Logo,” “E-commerce”). You can assign tags using the “Portfolio Tags” meta-box.
